Porter, White & Company acted as the exclusive financial advisor to WEPA, Inc., in a substantial capital raise for the Alabama-based technology company.
As the Company's financial advisor, PW&Co conducted an investigation and analysis of WEPA and its business prospects, prepared an information memorandum describing the company and its opportunities, solicited interest from potential investors known to PW&Co to have financial and business capacity to invest, negotiated a term sheet, and coordinated due diligence and preparation of closing documents.
In addition to these traditional M&A roles, PW&Co assisted WEPA with its strategic planning, financial projections and tactical plans as the company prepared for capital-raising and expected growth.
WEPA is a growth-stage company focused on providing student printing services to the higher education market. By providing printing kiosks and related services to colleges and universities, the company eliminates the institutions' dependence on purchased hardware and software licenses and eliminates most maintenance costs. WEPA's "one stop" solution turns a money-loser into a money-maker for its customers in higher education and reduces student printing costs as well. WEPA kiosks are placed in libraries, computer labs, dormitories, and other locations to provide students with easy access to printing with the simple swipe of a student ID.
